Description:

Lithium iron phosphate (lithium ferrous phosphate, LiFePO4, abbreviated LFP), is a cathode material for lithium-ion batteries, which has the ability to embed and insert lithium ions in lithium-ion batteries. Its theoretical specific capacity is 170mAh/g, and the actual specific capacity of the current mass-produced material is about 140-145mAh/g (1C, full battery, 2.5-3.65V).

When LFP materials are applied to lithium-ion batteries, they have the following characteristics:

1.Good theoretical safety

2.Low energy density

3.Poor conductivity/power/low temperature performance

In view of the above characteristics, lithium iron phosphate batteries are generally used in pure electric buses/energy storage and other fields with low energy density requirements and high cycle life and safety requirements.
