Products Description
Yttria-stabilized zirconia (YSZ) is the most widely used solid electrolyte in solid oxide fuel cells (SOFCs) and oxygen sensors due to its high oxygen-ion conductivity and its ability to block electronic conduction. YSZ particles can be synthesized using the sol-gel method from yttrium nitrate or isopropoxide. Additionally, YSZ nanoparticles can be produced in supercritical water (SCW), or through continuous or pulsed CO₂ laser vaporization, yielding particles of various sizes and yttria concentrations.
YSZ, composed of zirconium(IV) oxide stabilized with yttria and typically under 100 nm in size, is known for its excellent ionic conductivity and high physiochemical stability. It also features strong shock resistance, low thermal conductivity, and a high thermal expansion coefficient
