During the continuous longitudinal cutting process of the battery electrode the slitting blade simultaneously cuts the coating and pole material with micron-level thickness. When the electrode is cut, powder loss, burrs on the cut surface, and wavy lines often occur, which has a very adverse effect on the production of the later battery cells.
The electrode slitting machine is an automated equipment that integrates slitting, dust treatment, and tension control. The unwinding tension electronic control system of the equipment can accurately set the tension curve to ensure the stability of the electrode during slitting. The taper tension sensor feedback signal, the electronic control system automatically keeps the pole piece tension constant when the unwinding diameter changes, realizes closed-loop control, and effectively solves the wavy lines and stretching phenomena.
The electrode slitting machine uses imported cutters. The upper and lower cutter speeds can be fine-tuned up and down separately based on the reference speed to avoid burrs. The electrode is equipped with dust collection and static removal devices after slitting. CCD effectively identifies and marks various electrode defects, which reduces subsequent manual work for enterprises, improves efficiency, and provides process guarantees for the improvement of battery safety.
