Products Description
Green silicon carbide is produced using petroleum coke and high-purity silica as the primary raw materials, with salt added as a flux, and smelted in a high-temperature electric resistance furnace. The result is a crystalline material with high purity and exceptional hardness. Its hardness lies between that of fused alumina and diamond, and its mechanical strength surpasses that of fused alumina.
Thanks to its outstanding hardness and thermal stability, silicon carbide is ideal for machining hard alloys, glass, ceramics, and other non-metallic materials. It is also widely used in semiconductor manufacturing, as well as in high-temperature silicon carbide heating elements, and as a substrate for far-infrared radiation sources, among other high-tech applications.
