The press performs the following main functions:
The battery’s positive and negative terminals are connected to the corresponding equipment terminals, while the battery’s electrolyte injection port is linked to a vacuum nozzle. The system then creates a vacuum within the battery and heats the chassis. Once the required vacuum level and temperature are achieved according to process specifications, the battery formation process begins. Upon completion of formation, positive pressure is applied to release the vacuum, allowing the electrolyte in the reservoir cup to return to its respective cell. When the suction nozzle and needle bed detach from the battery, a controlled negative pressure is maintained to prevent any residual electrolyte droplets from falling onto the cell surface.
