Prismatic Cell Introduction:
The shell of the prismatic cell is mostly made of aluminum alloy, stainless steel and other materials. The internal winding or stacking process is adopted, which has a better protective effect on the cell than the aluminum plastic film battery (i.e., the pouch cell). The cell safety has also been greatly improved compared with the cylindrical battery.
The popularity rate of prismatic cell is very high in China. With the rise of automobile power battery in recent years, the contradiction between vehicle range and battery capacity has become increasingly prominent.

Electrode Coating:
The anodes and cathodes in Lithium cells are of similar form and are made by similar processes on similar or identical equipment. The active electrode materials are coated on both sides of metallic foils which act as the current collectors conducting the current in and out of the cell. The anode material is a form of Carbon and the cathode is a Lithium metal oxide. Both of these materials are delivered to the factory in the form of black powder and to the untrained eye they are almost indistinguishable from eachother. Since contamination between the anode and cathode materials will ruin the battery, great care must be taken to prevent these materials from coming into contact with eachother. For this reason the anodes and cathodes are usually processed in different rooms.

Module Pack Assembly Process:
Process features of the PACK assembly line for prismatic cell module:
Automatic loading, OCV test and sorting, NG removal, cell cleaning, gluing, stacking, polarity judgment, automatic tightening, manual binding, automatic loosening, pole cleaning, manual aluminum bar (welded with the outside of the harness line), laser welding, post-welding detection, EOL detection, DCIR detection, rotating the speed chain of the PACK assembly line, manual assembly test.
The assembly process flow is smooth, and the production efficiency and yield rate are high, which is suitable for the PACK assembly requirements of large and medium-sized square aluminum shell batteries.
Battery Module:
After the single battery is made. Grouping and series parallel connection of these batteries become the foundation of electric vehicle power battery system – Battery Module.
