The central stainless steel column is designed to be interchangeable with other 4mm diameter reference electrodes, and it can also function as a pressing tool for lithium chips when used as a reference electrode. This setup allows for operation as a 2-electrode device. For experiments requiring enhanced corrosion resistance, titanium or molybdenum sheets can be incorporated. The device is constructed from German GEHR PPS and 316 stainless steel, with the option to upgrade to high-purity titanium or high-purity molybdenum sheets for universal applications.
