Products Description
The wet film wheels determine wet film thickness using the scale of the wheel-rail eccentric design, with results expressed in μm. They are suitable for measuring the wet film thickness of various coatings and are particularly well-suited for assessing the electrode coating thickness in lithium-ion batteries. These wheels can be used on both flat and curved substrates, offering high measurement accuracy across different surface types.
Technical Parameters
Model | Range | Range of application | Graduation |
XW-YQH-100 | 0-100 μm | 10-90 | 5 μm |
XW-YQH-200 | 0-200 μm | 20-180 | 10 μm |
XW-YQH-500 | 0-500 μm | 50-450 | 25 μm |
XW-YQH-1000 | 0-1000 μm | 100-900 | 50 μm |
How to use?
1. Apply the battery slurry coating to the substrate and measure the wet film thickness immediately after application.
2. Keep the substrate level and securely fixed. Position the wet film wheels on the substrate with the smallest reading at the top. Roll the wheel forward 180°, then back 180° in the opposite direction. Remove the wheel and observe the point where the film first makes contact; record the readings and calculate the average as a single measurement value.
3. While wet film wheels are ideal for flat test panels, they can also be used on substrates curved in only one direction.
Test accuracy
1. The XW wet film wheels are precision-machined with a tolerance of ±5% across the entire range.
2. For optimal results, avoid readings outside the specified measurement range.
3. Test conditions may limit the highest achievable accuracy depending on the specific application.
4. Factors influencing reading accuracy include, but are not limited to: the surface tension and flow behavior of the coating material, as well as the moisture content and hardness of the substrate.
